SOUTHERN TANZANIA SAFARIS

The South of Tanzania is one of the last remaining wilderness areas in Africa. It holds no fewer than 9 protected areas which can be visited fairly easily as well as several others relatively unknown and more difficult to reach, such as Kisigo, Rungwa, Ugalla River and Uwanda Game Reserves which require specialist help to reach. Mikumi, Selous and Ruaha are the most visited and have some marvellous tented camps, but all the ones listed below can be visited fairly easily:

Gombe Stream National Park

Katavi National Park

Kitulo National Park (proposed)

Mahale Mountains National Park

Mikumi National Park

Selous Game Reserve

Udzungwa Mountains National Park
